Oregon Sunstone is one of the few gemstones native to the United States, found exclusively in the high desert of Harney and Lake Counties in Oregon. These feldspar gems form within ancient basaltic lava flows and are prized among collectors and designers for their domestic origin and natural transparency. Unlike sunstones from other localities, Oregon Sunstone is an andesine-labradorite feldspar that can occur in a range of colors from colorless to pale yellow, peach, pink, and red — making even the subtler color expressions genuinely distinctive.
These pale yellow briolettes are clean and inclusion-free, without the copper schiller sometimes seen in Oregon Sunstones. The smooth briolette cut and cross-drilled top make them exceptionally versatile for earring pairs, pendant drops, or beaded design work. Their clarity and soft color lend themselves well to minimalist and nature-inspired jewelry aesthetics.
