These are exceptionally large pear-shaped Oregon Sunstones, and finding rose cuts at this size with intense schiller is genuinely rare - most material with this kind of peachy orange aventurescence never makes it to a carat weight that lets a designer work with it meaningfully. Each stone carries a light yellow body with peachy orange schiller that shifts and glows as the stone moves, and all four come from Sun Crystal, one of the well-regarded mining operations in Harney County, Oregon. This is the kind of selection worth planning a centerpiece around.
Oregon Sunstone is a gem-quality labradorite feldspar, and what separates the American material from other feldspars is the copper-based schiller - called aventurescence - that produces that warm optical depth from within the stone rather than at the surface. Because this material comes from a domestic source with transparent mining practices, it carries real provenance value that independent designers increasingly find meaningful to their clients. Feldspar has perfect cleavage in two directions, so setting and finishing require a careful hand - avoid ultrasonic cleaners and hard knocks during fabrication.
These stones are entirely untreated. The body color and schiller are completely natural, exactly as they came from the ground.
