This two-stone lot has been hand picked to pair an orangish-red Oregon Sunstone oval cabochon with a teardrop-shaped Crazy Lace Agate cabochon. The Crazy Lace Agate features swirls of red, orange, pink, and white that complement the color of the Sunstone naturally. Both stones are untreated and sold together as a matched set.

Oregon Sunstone is one of the few feldspars with a genuine domestic origin story - mined in Harney County, Oregon, it can display aventurescence (schiller) caused by copper platelets suspended within the stone, and the richer red and orange material is among the most commercially significant. Crazy Lace Agate from Indonesia is a banded chalcedony known for its flowing, lace-like patterns of interlocking curves and color zones, which make each stone one-of-a-kind and particularly appealing for organic or statement designs. Both materials are well-suited to cabochon work, though feldspar has directional cleavage that warrants care during setting and finishing.
