Natural Moss Agate and Oregon Sunstone Cabochon Set, Peach and Green | Set130
Natural Moss Agate and Oregon Sunstone Cabochon Set, Peach and Green | Set130
This moss agate and Oregon sunstone cabochon set is a matched pair of natural gemstones chosen for a pendant design. The moss agate shows green and peach moss swirled through a white base, while the sunstone is a soft peach orange, and the two colors were matched to work together as a set. Both stones are polished cabochons, smooth and ready to be set.
As a graduate gemologist, color is what draws me to every stone, and this pairing was put together with that in mind, letting the natural patterning and warm tones of each stone carry the design.
The moss agate is 32x27x5.5 mm and 36.3 carats. The sunstone is 9.1x7.2x4.6 mm and 2.35 carats.

Sunstone is a feldspar, durable enough for most jewelry, with a cleavage that means a sharp knock can split it. Its glitter and color come from tiny reflective inclusions inside the stone. Rings benefit from a protective setting. Clean with warm soapy water, and avoid steam cleaners.
