This two-stone lot has been hand picked to pair an orangish-red Oregon Sunstone oval cabochon with a pear-shaped Crazy Lace Agate cabochon. The Crazy Lace Agate carries swirls of red, orange, pink, and white that closely mirror and offset the warm tones of the Sunstone. Both stones are untreated.

Oregon Sunstone is one of the few gem-quality feldspars native to the United States, and the copper inclusions responsible for its aventurescence and rich red-to-orange color palette make it genuinely distinct from feldspars sourced elsewhere - that origin carries real meaning to collectors and buyers who follow provenance. Crazy Lace Agate from Indonesia is a banded chalcedony known for its flowing, concentric color patterns, and the cabochon cut is well suited to both stones since it allows those surface patterns and optical effects to read clearly. Agate is durable enough for most jewelry applications, but as with all chalcedonies, avoid prolonged ultrasonic cleaning, which can exploit any natural fractures present.
