- What is Schiller? ----Schiller is also called Aventurescence and is caused by small, flat reflective inclusions that align themselves along the mineral structure. Oregon Sunstones are unique as the schiller effect is caused copper incusions versus Indian Sunstones, which are caused by hematite and create a very different looking stone.
